Location #23

This is another short section of the old 20" wide concrete alignment of the original 101 highway. It is located about 1 mile south of the intersection of 101 and 154 on the east side of the freeway. In includes one of the old 1916 vintage concrete bridges also. I did have to hop a couple fences to get to this back in 08, but it was well worth it.

View looking south from the north end of the location. Bridge in distance.

A bit further south... still looking south with the bridge in the distance.

The brigde looking south. The concrete is very well preserved here.

View of the east side of the bridge.

From the bridge, looking north.

The plaque is gone, but it looks very similar to the 1916 shaped one on Jonata Rd.

View from the bridge looking south.

Continuing south up the hill

View from above looking north toward the bridge.

A bit further south...

The south end where it dead ends near the northbound freeway lanes.
