This location is west of the Salinas river and includes sections of the old cement as the original route comes into San Ardo from the south. From about 1/4 mile south of the northbound freeway exit, the old road bends to the east near where the waste transfer station is located, then continues through a couple ranches as it approaches the old bridge.
