The old Valley Freeze drive-in at 62540 Cattlemen Rd. Until the freeway bypass in 1971, this little business served up countless frosties, milk shakes, and other goodies to motorists passing through San Ardo. Halfway between King City and Paso Robles, this was a nice spot to stop on a hot drive, and knock down a chocolate dipped frostie. It was later re-opened in King City before eventually closing permanently.
