This is the old highway bridge over Santa Margarita Creek on El Camino Real near Asunction Rd.. This bridge was built in 1937, and replaced a previous bridge. This area of Santa Margarita Creek has been a popular swimming hole for decades, and though it is posted otherwise, kids still sneak in here to swing from the ropes hanging from the old Black Oak trees.
