Templeton Section

Templeton, California is a small but rich historic town that lies between Atascadero and Paso Robles. The original routing of 101 went straight through the middle of town on what is now called Main Street. There are very few motorist related business still standing here, but the old downtown area is well preserved and well worth visiting.

Updated on 4/17/2009... Locations A, B, and C, added thanks to a tip from Logan Cooper, are of the original 1916 alignment in the area in the south end of town between the Cal Trans yard and the old Legion Hall.
